Above Ground Pool

Above Ground Pool Advantages

The advantage of the above ground pool as compared to the in-ground pool is less expense.  It cost less to build, as you do not have to excavate or build it into the ground, and less to maintain.  The above ground pool does not require you to commit to the pool on a permanent basis, which means most of them can be moved also when you moved.  Some people build a deck around the above ground pools and there is very little difference in the newer pools than those built in-ground.  There are advantages and disadvantages of both the above ground pool and the in-ground pool, but the majority of them depends on the lifestyle of the pool owner.

The above ground pool is usually made of aluminum, steel, or resin siding.  They also have a frame which may be made of galvanized steel or another strong structural material.  When choosing the frame, choose one that resists corrosion to make sure it lasts longer and looks good.  The choice of color is larger than before, with blue, white, and gray among many other colors. The darker colors have a tendency to stay warmer longer or heat up more but it usually is a personal preference.  The above ground pool has shapes that are usually round and oval, with the visible structure frame and a liner normally made of vinyl.

An above ground pool can sit on the grass, or seem to be best on concrete.  Yet, others work best with a pad that is placed between the pool and ground.  Not having to excavate makes it much easier to install and much faster being built.  In addition, an above ground pool offers a pump, filter and ladder along with a framed structure and liner as one lump package.

An above ground pool that is round in design, which is about 18 feet in diameter, has a pump, ladder and filter, will cost approximately $1200 to $2000.  An advance design in quality and style of a pool with essential equipment will range from $1000 to $8000.  Additionally, check and see if you need a builder’s permit, insurance costs or other issues to put in the family above ground pool.

When installing your above ground pool, make sure you level off the ground where it will be placed.  Sand will be laid down in the pool area and plumbing will be installed, after the track is assembled to support the pool’s outer wall. The vinyl is attached to the outer wall, the pool will be filled, and then the liner is smoothed and fastened in place.  Hook up the pump and filtration system,  and another above ground pool is ready to go.
